We have these adorable calendar pages at work – Calendar Pages by KI Memories http://www.kimemories.com/2011/08/focus-on-calendar-pages.html and I decided to use them to document what we did all summer (basically, so when my kids came to me at the end of summer and said “we didn’t do anything, mom!”, I could show them the calendar pages and say “Oh, but we DID, my darling children”!).
No, really, another reason I did them, was to use a different way to show our summer fun we had. I had a blast finding and/or making little logos for the day’s events; some I found stickers for at the store, and some I had to make, either by stamping & coloring, or finding on the internet & printing.
Then, with the calendar page, I took all wallet sized prints of the activities, arranged those on the sheet, and went through my stash of embellishments and used what I had-on-hand (it was a good way to use up all that miscellaneous stuff you have left from other projects).
Here are the June pages:
The June title is from Sizzix Lower Case and Upper Case Aphabet Sets. The numbers are from the Sizzlits Girls are Weird Alphabet Set.
I pop-dotted the embellishments.
July:
And August:
So, that was our 2011 Summer; pretty fun stuff! And it was fun documenting it, too 🙂
